Describe the relative location of enderby land as compared to queen maud land. Pls help only question

Answers

Answer: Enderby Land, region of Antarctica, bordering on the Indian Ocean and extending from Prince Olav Coast of Queen Maud Land (west) to Edward VIII Bay and Kemp Coast (east). Primarily a barren, ice-capped plateau in the interior sections, it rises to rugged peaks along the coast, where the Napier Mountains exceed 7,400 feet (2,260 m). The English navigator John Biscoe, sailing for Enderby Brothers, a London whaling firm, discovered the coast in 1831 and named it for his employers. Enderby Land, claimed by Australia, is the site of a research station opened by the Soviet Union in 1963

what factors lead to the vaiont landslide disaster?

Answers

The Vaiont landslide disaster was caused by a combination of several factors, including geology, rainfall, and human intervention.

Firstly, the geology of the area was unstable, with weak layers of rock and soil that were prone to sliding. Hence, this became the major reason for the Vaiont landslide disaster.

Secondly, the region experienced heavy rainfall in the days leading up to the disaster, which saturated the soil and added extra weight to the unstable layers.

Lastly, human intervention in the form of a dam built in the area exacerbated the situation by adding extra pressure to the unstable layers. All of these factors combined to create the conditions for the Vaiont landslide disaster.

Point N is on line segment M O ‾ MO . Given N O = 2 x − 3 , NO=2x−3, M O = 3 x + 5 , MO=3x+5, and M N = 2 x + 3 , MN=2x+3, determine the numerical length of M O ‾ . MO .

Answers

Answer: The length of MO is 20 units.

Explanation:

It is given that Point N is on line segment M O.

Using segment addition property, we get

\(MO=MN+NO\)

Given values are NO=2x−3, MO=3x+5, and MN=2x+3.

\(3x+5=(2x+3)+(2x-3)\)

\(3x+5=4x\)

\(5=4x-3x\)

\(5=x\)

The value of x is 5.

\(MO=3x+5\)

\(MO=3(5)+5\)

\(MO=15+5\)

\(MO=20\)

Therefore, the length of MO is 20 units.

Political frameworks, risk-taking and free speech, materialist and moral aspects, as well as conservative and liberal elements, are all features of American culture.

My first encounter with American culture was with the Navajo people in Arizona. This summer, my family and I took a trip to the Grand Canyon and Sedona, Arizona.

Because there were white Americans, African Americans, Hispanics, and Navajo people on one of the Grand Canyon excursions we attended, we got an experience where we were exposed to a variety of North American cultures there.

I got the chance to meet some really intriguing individuals who had quite different viewpoints than mine, but they were all extremely kind people, so this experience was very interesting and had an impact on me.

We have a tendency to believe that others are incorrect if they disagree with us. The reality, however, is different. The fact that I was exposed to a variety of ways of thinking and was able to see their cultures, customs, and traditions was very intriguing to me. These diverse individuals from various backgrounds were elegant individuals.

On one of the days, the tour leader drove us to a genuine Navajo reservation near to the Grand Canyon. Quite an amazing site, by the way.

The Navajo family we met that day allowed us to learn more about how they live, raise their children, attend school, and celebrate holidays. We went to an unique ceremony in the afternoon when the Navajo people honored mother nature with chants and dances.

1 low concentration of keystone species
2 low concentration of nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients
3 low concentration of oxygen
4 high concentration of urban development
5 high concentration of organisms resulting in extreme competition and finally the death of most

Answers

An important characteristic of aquatic dead zones is a low concentration of oxygen. Option C is the correct answer.

In the world's seas and major lakes, dead zones are regions with low oxygen levels. Aquatic flora and fauna start to alter their behavior when a body of water becomes hypoxic in order to get to areas of water with more oxygen. Option C is the correct answer.

Eutrophication, or an increase in nutrients in the water, is a factor in the development of aquatic and marine dead zones. The availability of these elements is a factor in the growth of single-celled, plant-like creatures that exist in the water column. These components are the basic building blocks of these organisms. Marine life in dead zones is often sparse because of the hypoxic conditions found there.

What do you think is the reason for the fish
kill?

Answers

Many, but not all, fish kills in the summer result from low concentrations of dissolved oxygen in the water. Fish, like all other complex life forms, need oxygen to survive. ... Other organisms use oxygen, too, including the algae that grow in the summer and bacteria that degrade organic matter.

Explanation:

The most common cause is reduced oxygen in the water, which in turn may be due to factors such as drought, algae bloom, overpopulation, or a sustained increase in water temperature. Infectious diseases and parasites can also lead to fish kill. Toxicity is a real but far less common cause of fish kill.

in the picture above, the dark stripes on the surface of the glacier are: group of answer choices schistosity, formed by metamorphic separation of minerals. sedimentary layering, formed by alternating dusty ice from late winter and clean ice from the rest of the year. medial moraines, rocks picked up from points where tributary glaciers flow together. basal moraines, deposited beneath the glacier. terminal moraines, deposited at the end of the glacier.

Answers

Medial moraines are rocks picked up from points where tributary glaciers flow together are the dark stripes on the surface of the glacier in the picture above.

So, the correct option is C.

The convergence of two tributary glaciers creates medial moraines. They are often ice-surface features, and frequently, they are made of granite that has fallen from a Rockwall where the glaciers meet. Medial moraines are typically not left behind when the glacier recedes since they are thin, surface landforms. A medial moraine is found on top of and within an existing glacier. When two glaciers collide, a lateral moraine is created. There is a push-together of two lateral moraines from several glaciers. In the center of the new, larger glacier, this material creates a single line of rocks and mud.

There are three types of moraines: terminal moraines, lateral moraines, and medial moraines. Terminal moraines are formed from a pile of sediment that builds up in front of the glacier; lateral moraines are formed from sediment left on the sides, and medial moraines are formed from sediment that two glaciers push together.

the name given to a towering cloud that has not fully developed into a thunderstorm is

Answers

The name given to a towering cloud that has not fully developed into a thunderstorm is a "cumulus congestus" cloud.

Cumulus congestus clouds are characterized by their impressive vertical development and significant upward growth. They often have a cauliflower-like or towering appearance with a well-defined, dome-shaped top. These clouds indicate strong updrafts within the atmosphere.

While cumulus congestus clouds can be visually striking and resemble mature thunderstorm clouds, they have not yet reached the stage of a fully developed thunderstorm. They are typically associated with unstable atmospheric conditions and can be an indication that the atmosphere is conducive to the formation of thunderstorms.

As cumulus congestus clouds continue to develop, they may eventually evolve into cumulonimbus clouds, which are the type of clouds associated with thunderstorms. Cumulonimbus clouds have a more pronounced anvil-shaped top and are characterized by strong updrafts, downdrafts, and intense vertical development, often leading to thunder, lightning, heavy rain, and other severe weather phenomena.

It's important to note that weather conditions can change rapidly, and the transformation of a cumulus congestus cloud into a full-fledged thunderstorm can occur relatively quickly under the right atmospheric conditions.
