Answer 1

Answer:

a night in early November

Explanation:

In a small village, there was a poor family in the corner of the block, once they moved in they never came out until nighttime November-

when it was nighttime they would be playing outside their front yard with no lights and their parents cooking a barbeque with no fire. One time, a foolish kid from the block was walking late at night, one of the kids from the house outside asked, "Do you want to play with us?" and the boy who was walking replied with a foolish answer. he said sure, without knowing the consequences the pale little boy and his pale siblings invited him over for the barbeque. once he went inside he was never to be found again.

still fixing it but what do you think of it so far?

Answer 2

Answer:

Squawk

The boy stood, shivering, outside of the old red barn, wrapping his sweatshirt more firmly around his shoulders and peering into the windows. Half of them were broken, and the wind whistled through some and out the others, making the hay inside the barn pick up and move around. A jet-black raven squawked loudly, the jarring sound seeming to come from every direction at once, and the boy jumped, deciding once and for all to go into the barn and hide from all the wind and the cold and the rain that was beginning to come down harder than before. Although the boy didn't notice it, the raven was following him carefully as he crept into the barn.

It was still cold and still windy in the barn, though better than outside, the boy thought. The raven perched itself carefully on the highest rafter of the barn, and again it screeched, the noise reverberating throughout the entire barn and making the boy fall to his knees on the barn floor. Something about that screech just wasn't right - it made distant memories of pain and terror snap into the boy's mind in an instant. The raven squawked again, and the boy yelled, covering his ears and closing his eyes, trying to shut out the hideous sound.

Unfortunately, it was no use - the bird screamed again, and again, and again, and again. The wind whistled, and the bird screeched, and the whole world felt not right. The boy's head swam, the world seemed to lurch forward, and he fell into a deep sleep, never to wake again. The raven squawked again in a self-satisfied way, then flew out of the barn and back into the raging wind outside. He had done his job.

Welp, that was pretty rushed but hopefully it's at least a good start! Let me know if you need any more help. :)

One perspective of Progressive Era journalists expressed in the passage is the idea that the press should be a positive force for social change.

This was a direct result of the muckrakers, a type of journalist who exposed social injustices and corruption in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Their work resulted in positive change in the form of legislation and regulations, making it possible for other journalists to look at the press as a vehicle for social reform.

The effect of this type of Progressive Era journalism on American society was apparent from 1900 to 1920. This period saw a dramatic expansion of progressive legislation, such as the Pure Food and Drug Act and the addition of child labor laws, which were prompted in part by the work of the muckrakers.

During this time, known as the Progressive Era, the movement’s goals involved strengthening the national government and addressing people’s economic, social, and political demands. Progressives saw elements of American society that they wished to reform, especially ending the extreme concentration of wealth among the elite and the enormous economic and political power of big business.

The U.S. population nearly doubled between 1870 and 1900. Increasing immigration and urbanization had helped the shift from small-scale manufacturing and commerce to large-scale factory production and enormous national corporations.

Starting in the 1870s, a period of excessive materialism and political corruption took hold in the United States. Called the Gilded Age, this era featured the concentration of enormous amounts of wealth among a small elite. Industrial activity and corporate growth exploded—from 1863 to 1899 manufacturing production rose by more than 800 percent—but the profits largely went to a small number of entrepreneurs called “robber barons,” who established monopolies and hoarded their wealth. Meanwhile, many laborers lived in poverty and had little power."

why is it important to keep the limb at heart level for compartment syndrome

Answers

It is important to keep the limb at heart level for compartment syndrome because it helps to reduce the pressure in the affected area. Compartment syndrome occurs when the pressure within a muscle compartment increases to a level that it restricts blood flow and nerve function. This can cause tissue damage and permanent disability if not treated promptly.

Keeping the limb at heart level can help to reduce the pressure in the affected area by promoting venous return and improving blood flow. This helps to relieve the pressure on the nerves and blood vessels, allowing for adequate oxygen and nutrient supply to the affected tissues.

In addition, keeping the limb at heart level can also help to prevent further injury and damage to the affected area. If the limb is not elevated, the increased pressure can cause more tissue damage and exacerbate the symptoms of compartment syndrome.

Why does hesse not end the novel with the last scene in the chapter, om? what is significant about the final chapter, govinda? how does the last chapter bring closure to the story?.

Answers

Hesse extends the novel beyond the scene of Siddhartha's enlightenment to emphasize that enlightenment is an ongoing process, with Govinda's encounter showcasing the transformative power of Siddhartha's journey and the interconnectedness of life.

Hesse does not end the novel with the last scene in the chapter, Om because the scene is one of enlightenment, and the author Hesse wanted to show that Siddhartha’s enlightenment is not the end of the story. Additionally, Hesse wanted to show that enlightenment is an ongoing process.

Om, which is a symbol of unity, has a much broader meaning than Siddhartha’s enlightenment. Therefore, Hesse needed to write more on the topic to enlighten the readers and close the story. In the final chapter of the novel, Govinda plays a significant role.

In the final chapter, Govinda is the only character that meets Siddhartha after his enlightenment. When Govinda meets Siddhartha, he can see that Siddhartha is a changed man. He can see that Siddhartha is a complete person and has found what he had been searching for his entire life.

Govinda is impressed by Siddhartha’s enlightenment and wants to learn from him. However, Siddhartha tells Govinda that he cannot teach him because what he has learned cannot be taught but can only be experienced. In the last chapter, the story comes to an end.

The final chapter brings closure to the story by showing that Siddhartha has finally achieved enlightenment, and he is happy with the outcome. In the end, he has also reunited with his son, and they share a close bond. Siddhartha has learned that everything in life is interconnected, and this is the final message that Hesse conveys to the readers.

The discussion context of conflict concerns, for example, whether you deal with the conflict in public or in private.

Whether it is suitable to discuss a conflict in public or in private should be taken into account when doing so. Both choices have advantages and disadvantages. If the dispute is handled in public, it may provide all parties the chance to be heard and speed up the resolution process.

Clearly defining expectations and boundaries for all parties involved can also be beneficial. However, there could be drawbacks as well. If done improperly, a public discussion of a dispute can be emotionally charged and lead to increased hostility between the parties.
