How does Mr Foster treat Mrs Foster in The Way Up To Heaven? if you are quick I'll mark you as brainliest
Answer:
Explanation:
In 'The way up to heaven' by Roald Dahl, Mr Foster appears to be a man who finds pleasure on seeing his wife under pressure and stress. She has this pathological fear of missing a train, a plane, a boat or even a theatre curtain (and in case she gets delayed, her nerves near her eye begin to twitch and Mr Foster finds happiness in that). He deliberately does something or the other to delay his wife into something or to tense her up, to make her suffer, like when she leaves for Paris to see her daughter and grandchildren. Though Mr Foster doesn't accompany her on the flight, he comes along with her in the taxi. Unfortunately, a fog rolls up and she gets delayed due to the bad weather. Thankfully, the flight gets postponed. The next time too, it happens and she is again put under pressure (by her husband). Though Mrs Foster is aware all of this, she can't really speak against her husband.
Answer:
The implication is that despite her meek and subservient behaviour for the last 30 years, Mrs Foster was finally pushed to the point of purposely leaving her husband trapped in a broken elevator (explained by the faint noises she heard behind the front door), inside their empty home, for six weeks

what truth can we learn from daniel’s refusing to eat the king‘s meat and drink his wine?
Daniel's refusal to eat the king's meat and drink his wine shows the importance of maintaining one's integrity and moral convictions, even when it may be difficult or uncomfortable to do so.
In the midst of challenging and uncomfortable circumstances, Daniel's refusal to consume the king's food and wine serves as a compelling example of standing up for one's convictions. A tremendous deal of bravery and character fortitude may be seen in Daniel's willingness to accept the chance of opposing the king and his traditions. This act of defiance serves as an illustration for other people on how to uphold one's convictions and principles in the face of pressure. By refusing to sacrifice one's ideals and views to fit in, for instance, in the face of peer pressure. Similarly, despite the king's disapproval, Daniel made the decision to stand by his principles and ideals.

Please be sure that it is 2 to 3 (double spaced) pages long. In the comment section, let readers know if there is something specific you would like them to help you with. For example, you may want them to look at the way you plotted, or organized, your essay. In that case, you might ask your readers to pay special attention to your plot. Does it flow? Does it help get meaning across effectively?
Step 2: Everyone should receive at least two feedback responses. Respond to other writers as soon as possible. They will be waiting for your response. To make this work, please choose two students who have not had two responses (unless all students available already have two responses; in that case, you can be the third or fourth responder). Before reading the creative nonfiction pieces, check the students’ comments. What do they want you to look for? Then read the posted writing very carefully — maybe more than once. Remember, your job here is to help this writer grow and become a stronger writer!
Step 3: After you receive feedback, read it carefully. If there is anything in the feedback you don’t understand, respond and clarify it. Ask your reviewer clarifying questions. Sometimes this follow-up discussion can offer more than the original feedback did.

what are the two main pieces of evidence used to suspect victor frankenstein for killing henry clerval
The two main pieces of evidence used to suspect Victor Frankenstein for killing Henry Clerval are the following:
1) The timing of the murder: Victor was in the same town as Henry at the time of his death and had no alibi for the night of the murder. Additionally, the murder occurred shortly after Victor's own return to the town, leading authorities to question whether Victor may have had a motive for the killing.
2) The nature of the murder: Henry's body was found with bruises and marks that were consistent with someone using superhuman strength, leading authorities to believe that the murderer was not human. Given Victor's previous history with creating a monster with superhuman strength, this evidence was used to further implicate him in the murder.
Overall, these two pieces of evidence were used to build a case against Victor and led authorities to suspect that he was responsible for the death of Henry Clerval.

if "Beowulf" is about the ideals of heroism, what is "Grendel" about?
Answer:
Grendel mocks and criticizes whatever heroic ideals that "Beowulf" symbolizes.
Explanation:
The epic poem "Beowulf" tells the heroic deeds of the protagonist Beowulf and his battles against the monsters Grendel and his mother and also a dragon. Through these battles, we can see that Beowulf has been depicted as the ideal hero who braved obstacles and brought victory to his people.
"Grendel", on the other hand, was written from the perspective of the monster and his point of view. The author, John Gardner, gave an insight into the famous epic from the narrative point of view of the 'enemy' Grendel. And through this process, it seems that whatever "Beowulf" considered ideal and heroic, "Grendel" criticizes and makes a mockery out of it.
Thus, if "Beowulf" is about heroism and its ideals, then the very same theme/ ideals are criticized and made fun of in "Grendel".

The Oval Office: A Place in History
Elizabeth Kibler
1America's presidents have had to make many important decisions during their terms in office. They made many of these important choices in the famous Oval Office. The Oval Office is the private office of the President of the United States of America. Located in the West Wing of the White House, the Oval Office represents the power and responsibility of the president.
2Before President Howard Taft built the original Oval Office, most presidents living in the White House did their work in the room that is now called the Lincoln Bedroom. In 1909, President Taft built the first Oval Office in the West Wing of the White House. Taft built the office because he wanted his staff to have a center from which they could all work. A fire in the West Wing damaged the original Oval Office in 1929. President Herbert Hoover, however, restored the office after the fire. When Franklin Roosevelt became president, he moved the Oval Office to a different section of the West Wing so he could easily enter the office in his wheelchair. President Roosevelt completed the modern Oval Office in 1934, and it has stayed in the same place ever since.
3Although the structure of the office has remained the same, each president has decorated the office in his own way. The style of the room often changes when a new president takes office. The first Oval Office had green drapes and carpeting. Since then, the drapes and carpeting have been many different colors. Presidents also change the arrangement and types of furniture in the office.
4Presidents even have the opportunity to design a special carpet for the Oval Office. The Oval Office carpet includes the Seal of the President of the United States. The seal shows the eagle holding an olive branch, which represents peace, in its right foot, and arrows, which represent strength, in its left foot. A banner above the eagle reads 'e pluribus unum' , a Latin phrase meaning “out of many, one.” Fifty stars representing the fifty states surround the eagle. President George W. Bush’s Oval Office carpet had the seal in the center surrounded by yellow sunbeams.
5One fixture of the modern Oval Office is the Resolute desk. The Resolute desk was a gift from the Queen of England to President Rutherford Hayes in 1880. In 1855, American sailors found an abandoned British ship called the HMS Resolute. The United States government returned the ship to England as a sign of peace. When the British Navy retired the Resolute, the Queen had the ships' timbers turned into a desk. Since 1880, all but three presidents have used the Resolute desk. President John F. Kennedy was the first to put the desk in the Oval Office. A famous photograph shows him working at the desk while his son plays underneath it.
6The Oval Office’s style may have changed over the years, but its importance has not. American presidents have welcomed heads of state, representatives, and royalty to the Oval Office. Furthermore, many presidents do their most important work from the Oval Office, including meeting with members of Congress, vetoing and signing legislation, and making formal addresses to the nation. The Oval Office is a symbol of the president and will interest the public for generations to come.
Item bank:
Each president has decorated the Oval Office to suit his own tastes.
Many presidents do most of their work in the Oval Office.
Most presidents worked in the Lincoln Bedroom before the Oval Office was built.
The Oval Office represents the power of the president.
There is a famous photograph of John F. Kennedy working at his desk while his son plays underneath.
