The scene at the camera store is ironic because the narrator believed his father was an important person, but he was unaware that his father was actually a struggling photographer. The unexpected thought the son had about the father was that he was a very intelligent man. So the option D is correct.
Ironically, the narrator was unaware of his father's genuine profession or financial status at the time of the incident at the camera shop. However, he still saw his father as a "man of great intelligence" and was pleased with his achievements.
He had no idea that his father, who worked as a photographer and sold his images at the camera shop, was truly having financial difficulties. Ironically, based on his own expectations and presumptions, the narrator formed a wrong impression of his father. So the option D is correct.

A audience-centered presentation is not a one-way communication. Rather, audience-centered presenters view their audience as a group of individuals, each with their own perceptions and needs. The audience-centered presenter's goal is not to present as much information as possible about their topic.

Answer:The story flashes back to the point two days before, when Smaug smashed in the door of the Mountain in a range. The men of Lake-town saw the flashes produced by Smaug's destruction and at first thought it was the King under the Mountain and his gold. Alerted, they were therefore prepared for something and foiled the dragon's first attempts to attack Lake-town. But Smaug continued to assault the town and eventually set fire to it, destroying everything. Those who survived tried to escape by getting into the water. One of the archers defending the town, Bard, a descendant of Girion, holds out against Smaug with his arrows. Taking advice from a thrush, he shoots Smaug in his soft spot — the place near his left breast that Bilbo had spied some time before. Victorious, Bard is declared king but the Master of Lake-town objects and reminds his people of the problem of the dwarves. Birds carry the news of the death of Smaug. The Elvenking comes to the aid of Lake-town and marches north to the Mountain, eleven days after the devastation caused by Smaug.

Answer:
1. though the argument is valid in itself it leaves room to still ask questions. "why didnt you do it before" "how do i know you're not lying" So, to the teacher this argument might seem like more of an excuse. The student might have had full intentions to complete the project last night, but it just so happened to be the one night the internet was down. now, you can put blame on the students lack on time management skills, but as teachers they should look at the bigger picture. What steps led up to the point where the student only had last night to complete a project. It could be that the student has many other responsibilities to take care of. Due to this the argument should be valid, but not excused.
A better argument would be to explain to the teacher what circumstances the student is facing which caused them to only have that night to complete the project. Instead of just giving a surface lever argument dig deep into the moments leading up to this point. If the student has learning disabilities this could also be a great factor in determining why the student decided to work on the project last minute. For example, with ADHD many people tend to just forget things. In some people ADHD makes it mentally draining to do something they dont want to do especially when timed.

Why do agricultural societies tend to have a lower level of health when compared to foraging societies
Agricultural societies often exhibit a lower level of health compared to foraging societies due to several factors.
Firstly, the shift from a varied diet in foraging societies to a more monotonous diet reliant on staple crops in agricultural societies can lead to nutritional deficiencies and an increased risk of diseases. Additionally, agricultural societies are more prone to food storage issues, resulting in a higher likelihood of spoilage, contamination, and the spread of infectious diseases.
Increased population density in agricultural societies also facilitates the transmission of diseases. Moreover, sedentary lifestyles in agricultural societies can contribute to a higher prevalence of chronic conditions such as obesity and cardiovascular diseases.

By the time of the banquet scene, Macbeth has
taken the two major steps necessary for the achieve-
ment of his goal. This action and the simultaneous
increase of tension are known technically as the
rising action of the play. Rising action builds toward
a climax, the dramatic highpoint, or point of great-
est tension in the play. All action after the climax is
referred to as the falling action, or resolution, of
the play. Reread the banquet scene (Scene 4). Why
is it the climax, or turning point, of Macbeth?
To celebrate Macbeth's rule as king, he and his wife host a formal banquet, or feast, for their obedient thanes.
One of the assassins Macbeth had hired in secret to kill Banquo, his rival, seems to inform Macbeth that Banquo is dead but his son Fleance has escaped.
Given that the witches' prophecy predicted that Banquo's sons may become kings, this knowledge is horrifying.
Then, in front of his guests, Macbeth experiences an epiphany after believing he sees Banquo's ghost sitting in his chair on the table. Despite Lady Macbeth's valiant efforts to cover him, the thanes are forced to leave after the formal banquet.
The reason for the climax
Dramatically, this moment has the advantage of serving as the play's finale. Even though Macbeth is at the height of his influence, his moral and psychological state is terrible, and things will soon start to deteriorate. Although this scene usually has people seated at a table, the ghost and Macbeth's reaction to it make it particularly dramatic. Additionally, there are two ways in which we might understand the appearance of Banquo's ghost: either as real or as a fiction of Macbeth's imagination. It is horrifying for Macbeth in any event. If the ghost is real, as most Elizabethans may suppose, it is proof that God is punishing him for his murders.

Analyze: How do the comparisons that the author makes create tension?
In one of them, I am clinging to the ceiling of a summer cottage while a red-faced man in white
shorts and a white V-necked T-shirt jumps up and down, hitting at me with a tennis racket. There are
cedar rafters up here, and sticky flypapers attached with tacks, dangling like toxic seaweeds. I look
down at the man’s face, foreshortened and sweating, the eyes bulging and blue, the mouth emitting
furious noise, rising up like a marine float, sinking again, rising as if on a swell of air.
> Dangling like toxic seaweeds
> Rising up like a marine float
Here are the two similes that are present in the given paragraph:
“Dangling like toxic seaweeds.”
“Rising up like a marine float.”
What are the toxic seaweeds?Perhaps it is best to stay away from seaweeds that contain more carrageenan, such Irish moss, and occasionally indulge in other seaweeds in moderation.
There are no deadly or dangerous seaweeds that are currently known to exist. A few seaweeds produce acid, but these aren't any more acidic than own stomach acid, so eating them won't hurt one.
Minerals can be concentrated and stored by seaweed. As seaweed can also contain significant concentrations of poisonous heavy metals including cadmium, mercury, and lead, this presents a health danger.
Most seaweeds can be eaten without any difficulty, however consuming large amounts of raw kelp raises serious concerns about iodine poisoning. The two metaphors in the above sentence are "Dangling like toxic seaweeds" and "Rising up like a marine float."
