essay about how lack of resources affect education
Answer:
\(\huge\boxed{Essay\hookrightarrow}\)
Resource materials like charts, poster, white board, blocks, cards, clay, crayons, chalks etc. play a significant role in the learning process of students. If resource materials are used wisely they make remarkable enhancement of lesson impact. Availability of a wide variety of instructional resources can stimulate the interest and actively engage learners in the learning of different subjects. It also enhances the effectiveness of schools as these are basic things that can bring about good academic performance in the students. It was researched & found that teachers are also responsible for poor performance of students in school due to teaching methods which they use ,which show lack of commitment in preparing and imparting knowledge to students .They believe that variation in teaching methods by teachers tend to improve performance and that methods of teaching should be child centered rather than teacher centered. In public schools, students are often unprepared and do not have the materials that they need in order to complete the assigned work. This creates a multitude of problems, including that the student may not be able to complete their work to their best ability. Because a lack of school materials can lead to a drop of productivity in students, public schools should be required to provide low-cost or no-cost materials for students who are in financial need. This would ensure that all students were provided an equal opportunity while in school, while increasing student productivity and dissolving the gap in student success between income levels. To provide some operational definitions, in this context, the word “productivity” can be defined as the measurable and comparable success of the student. This could mean grades, test scores, or graduation rates. We could also compare their achievements that might not be so desirable, such as their incarceration rates or their dropout rates. Financial need will be defined as the student qualifying for free or reduced lunch. This would mean that if this plan was instituted, that student’s eligibility would already be pre-determined, which would take out some work that the school might have to do otherwise. Hence, through this essay I would like to convey the fact that lack of resources do affect education.

Read the persuasive text below. Identify the author's claim in the text. Write one sentence that expresses what the
author is saying. Then explain how the author used evidence to support the claim.
Zoos have always been a popular destination. But more people are waking up to the fact that zoos are not good.
They re realizing that zoos are an outdated, cruel form of entertainment where animals are put on display for
humans. Instead of zoos, we should create more wildlife sanctuaries and reserves. It's time to free all caged
animals.
Most wild animals roam areas that cover hundreds of miles. However, animals in many zoos are forced to live in
small, concrete floored cages. Studies have shown that this environment causes unnatural and obsessive
behavior. These behaviors include pacing, swaying, and even harming oneself
Zoos also fail to consider the unique behavior traits of wild animals. For example, some animals are shy and
prefer to be left alone. In zoos, these animals are always surrounded by people. A study at a zoo in Belfast,
Ireland, found that gorillas acted more aggressively when there were more visitors around their cages.
Many zoos say that they protect animals that are in danger of dying out in the wild. But this claim is false. A study
found that only 1,200 out of the world's 10,000 zoos support wildlife conservation. Most zoos focus on animals
that are popular rather than endangered.
Answer:
The author makes this claim in the passage: Keeping animals in zoos is cruel and unfair to the animals.
The author supports this claim by discussing three major problems with zoos. The first problem is that zoos cause behavior problems in animals. The author supports this claim by mentioning studies that prove the claim. The author also states that zoos do not consider the specific traits of different animals. The author cites a study of a zoo in Belfast, Ireland, to support this claim. Lastly, the author states that zoos do not focus on protecting endangered animals. The author supports this claim by noting the number of zoos worldwide that support wildlife conservation.

The company's mean and median salaries would change, as the mean would increase by $5,000 and the median would not change. The correct option is (b.)
What is the mean and median?
A data set's mean (average) is calculated by summing all of the numbers in the set, then dividing by the total number of values in the set. When data collection is ranked from least to greatest, the median is the midpoint.
The number that appears most frequently in a data set is called the mode. In an ordered data set, the median is the value in the middle. The mean is calculated by dividing the sum of all values by the total number of values.
The changed mean = Mean + ($30000/6) = Mean + $5,000
The owner's income is the highest among all 6 employees, Hence the Median would be the same after raising $30,000 for the owner.
Therefore, the correct option is (b) The mean would increase by $5,000 and the median would not change.

At the equilibrium price, how many meals would the Green Door Restaurant be willing to sell
Answer:
Explanation:
At the equilibrium price, the Green Door Restaurant would be willing to sell the quantity of meals that maximizes their profit. This is because, at the equilibrium price, the demand for the restaurant's meals is equal to the supply of meals that the restaurant is willing to sell. If the restaurant were to raise its price above the equilibrium, it would likely result in a decrease in demand and a decrease in the quantity of meals sold. On the other hand, if the restaurant were to lower its price below the equilibrium, it may result in an increase in demand, but the restaurant would earn less revenue per meal. The exact number of meals that the Green Door Restaurant would be willing to sell at the equilibrium price would depend on various factors such as the costs of production, the tastes and preferences of consumers, and the competition from other restaurants.
At the equilibrium price, the Green Door Restaurant would be willing to sell the quantity of meals that maximizes their profit. This is because, at the equilibrium price, the demand for the restaurant's meals is equal to the supply of meals that the restaurant is willing to sell.
What is an equilibrium?Equilibrium is the state in which market supply and demand balance each other, and as a result prices become stable. Generally, an over-supply of goods or services causes prices to go down, which results in higher demand while an under-supply or shortage causes prices to go up resulting in less demand. The balancing effect of supply and demand results in a state of equilibrium. A market in equilibrium demonstrates three characteristics: the behavior of agents is consistent, there are no incentives for agents to change behavior, and a dynamic process governs equilibrium outcomes.
There are several types of equilibrium used in economics.

What percent of the population of world is 6885.6 millions lives in countries other than Canada and Guam
Approximately 97.06% of the world's population lives in countries other than Canada and Guam.
To find out what percentage of the world's population lives in countries other than Canada and Guam, we need to know the population of Canada, the population of Guam, and the total population of the world. We can then subtract the population of Canada and Guam from the total population of the world to find out how many people live in countries other than Canada and Guam.
Finally, we can divide this number by the total population of the world and multiply by 100 to find out what percentage of the world's population lives in countries other than Canada and Guam. Let's go through the steps. According to the World Bank, the population of Canada in 2021 is approximately 38 million.
According to the CIA World Fact book, the population of Guam in 2021 is approximately 170,000. To find the total population of the world, we can use the United Nations' estimate of 7.9 billion people as of 2021. So, the population of countries other than Canada and Guam is:
7.9 billion - 38 million - 170,000 = 7,747,830,000
Now, to find out what percentage of the world's population lives in countries other than Canada and Guam, we divide this number by the total population of the world and multiply by 100:
(7,747,830,000 ÷ 7,900,000,000) x 100 = 97.06%
Therefore, approximately 97.06% of the world's population lives in countries other than Canada and Guam.

The 152 heights of males from a data set of body measurements vary from a low of 157.0 cm to a high of 191.9 cm. Use the range rule of thumb to estimate the standard deviation s and compare the result to the standard deviation of 7.99 cm calculated using the 152 heights. What does the result suggest about the accuracy of estimates of s found using the range rule of thumb? Assume the estimate is accurate if it is within 1.3 cm.
The estimate is considered accurate if it is within 1.3 cm, or 8.72 cm, as indicated by the results about the accuracy of estimates of s discovered using the range rule of thumb.
What a standard deviation means? While a high standard deviation indicates that the data are much more spread, a small standard deviation suggests that the data are clustered around the mean. The standard deviation is a measure of how variable your data set is on average. It displays the standard deviation of the each score with respect to the mean.
Why standard deviation is used and how should calcite it?Standard deviation is important because it makes measurements easier to understand when the data is dispersed. The more equally distributed the data is, the bigger overall standard deviation of a data will be.
Determine the mean first. Step 2: Determine the square of the variation from the mean of each data point. In Step 3, add the values from Step 2. By the overall amount of information collected in step 4, divide.
The range rule of thumb is a rough estimation of a data set's standard deviation based on the data's range. The estimate comes from:
s ≈ R / 4
where R denotes the data range, which is the difference between the data set's maximum and minimum values. The guys' heights in this instance range from 191.9 to 157.0 cm, or 34.9 cm.
We estimate the standard deviation to be as follows using the range rule of thumb:
s ≈ 34.9 / 4 = 8.72 cm
We can observe that the estimate is within 1.3 cm of the real standard deviation by comparing it to the estimated standard deviation, which is 7.99 cm. This shows that the standard deviation estimate derived from the range rule of thumb is rather accurate.
It is important to remember that this rule of thumb is only a rough estimate, and that there are more exact ways to get the standard deviation, such as the calculation based on the mean and variance, which should be used in most situations.
