Answer: You can try practicing rhythms and practicing your music in general. You can also scan the page and identify anything familiar and unfamiliar to you.
Explanation: Just an FYI, I am talking from experience in concert band, but I think these tips would still apply in some way.
The more you practice different rhythms, the easier you can recognize them. Practicing music in general can also help you with rhythms and notes. Knowing your scales and different intervals such as perfect fourths and fifths beforehand can also help you "hear" the music in your head before you sing as well. When you do receive the music you must sight read, it is good practice to scan the page for time signatures, the key signature, tempo, and find any repeats in the music, if any. Scan the page for any parts that seem difficult to you, and try to practice them a little in some way before you do have to perform it. If it is still difficult to you, then try taking the piece a little bit slower to make it more doable. The judges probably won't expect you to perform it perfectly up to tempo.
I also recommend Sight Reading Factory as a way to practice your sight reading because it also helped me when I was in concert band. I think it will help you too.
This explanation was a bit lengthy, but I hope it helps you and I wish you the best for your audition!

False, if you use the notes that belong to triad in each bar, your descant will definitely fit.
What is a descant?Depending on the time period, a descant, discant, or discantus can refer to a variety of musical instruments or styles; the word's etymology describes a voice that is above or distant from others. A medieval musical style known as a descant had one vocalist singing a predetermined theme while others played improvised music in the background. This phrase refers to a type of Gregorian chant in which just the melody is notated but a spontaneous polyphony is understood. It is derived from the words discantus supra librum (descant "above the book"). The improvisation of the additional voices was subject to the discantus supra librum's detailed restrictions. Later, the phrase came to refer to the treble or soprano singer in any ensemble of voices or the higher pitched line in music.

Consider these two films featuring Scarlett Johansson: one an Independent American Film and the other a Hollywood Blockbuster. Compare and contrast the ways in which these two works feature this actress. Is her representation different between these two films? Is there a level of consistency? How does this representation relate to the differences implicit to mainstream and independent filmmaking practices? What are the implications of this representation for stardom and star studies?
After the restructuring of the Hollywood studio systems, the lack of unique niche films sparked the growth of independent cinema in America, which began in the middle of the 1980s. The large Hollywood studio system operated like a Ford Production factory during this time, pounding out action-themed, high-budget blockbuster movies one after the other, aimed at the country's largest audience of young children and teenagers.
They did this by leaving an unexplored market or hole, which was eventually filled by independent filmmakers made up of a group of young women and African Americans who made films on extremely tight budgets that addressed social concerns and injustices for the average person. A feature or short film that is made independently of the big studio system and is also produced and released by independent entertainment businesses is known as an independent film, independent movie, indie film, or indie movie. The groundbreaking silent film The Birth of a Nation, which debuted in 1915, was the first big Hollywood smash. It was the longest, most lucrative, most technically sophisticated movie made at the time. It guaranteed the survival of feature-length movies as well as the acceptance of film as a serious medium.

Imagine that you are a makeup artist applying for a position at a film or theater production. Write a short cover letter explaining your qualifications, experience, and skills. Remember that you need to convince the potential employers that you are right for the job. Perform online research if needed.
Answer:
Dear Ms. Zellner,
I am writing to apply for the position of a makeup artist with Arista Film Company. I have a bachelor’s degree in cosmetology from Houston Community College. I have been doing freelance work for the last three years. In my role as a freelance makeup artist, I provide makeup applications to individual clients, and also for film productions, theater companies, and fashion models.
I have worked on makeup to create complex characters. I know how to vary the makeup based on the lighting effects of a set. I am up to date with the latest technology and latest products available in my field. In an assignment I did recently for New Age Studios, I single handedly managed the makeup for 10 actors. The makeup included prosthetic techniques. In my previous assignments, I applied makeup for actors who played injured and old characters.
I have good teamwork skills. I have worked as part of the makeup team in movies such as The Hobbit, Star Wars, and S-u-i-c-i-d-e Squad. I am well aware of the basic techniques that go into the making of characters in the fantasy genre.
With my expertise, I believe I can add value to your films. I am sure that you will find my portfolio impressive. I have attached pictures of the characters I have worked on. I am also available for a demonstration of my makeup expertise at any point. I eagerly await working with you. I hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you.

Laura Watson
