SUBJECT: Consumer Behavior
What do you agree on and what to you disagree on in terms of where you placed focus in the consumer behavior process of this classmate post. give an opinion Support your points by drawing outside sources.
CLASSMATE POST:
The basic consumer behavior process is essentially the thought process behind a consumers purchases. When we go to the store for tooth paste it is likely because we don’t have anymore (the problem). We either know from experience or researched what tooth paste we want to buy (information search). However, there’s always other brands that might have different benefits or prices (alternatives). After going over what the best option would be for us whether it was the one we came into get or one of the alternatives we decide which one we will get. (purchase decision) Then we proceed to purchase the item (purchase). Once we buy the item and use it we evaluate if we like it or should go with another one next time. (post purchase evaluation) Recently I’ve realized how often we focus on the alternatives part now. despite having our favorite brands ,with the price changes some of the cheaper alternatives have become a better option. For instance I love sweet potato fries. Before this year I couldn’t tell you the last time I bought a bag of sweet potato fries that weren’t the brand "Alexia". However, i’ve found that i now go into the grocery store with the intent to find a new brand of sweet potato fries (my problem). Each time I try a new one is considered to be my information search. I still look at the Alexia fries (evaluating the alternatives) but ultimately end up going with a new cheaper brand. (purchase decision) and then buy them and evaluate (purchase and post purchase evaluation).
I agree with the classmate's understanding of the consumer behavior process, particularly the stages of problem recognition, information search, alternatives evaluation, purchase decision, and post-purchase evaluation. I also agree that external factors, such as price changes, can influence consumers to explore alternative options. However, I believe it's essential to consider the pre-purchase evaluation or consideration set formation stage. These points are supported by studies conducted by Sproles and Kendall (1986) and Chernev, Bockenholt, and Goodman (2015), respectively.
In terms of the classmate's post on the consumer behavior process, I agree with the overall structure and sequence of the stages they mentioned: problem recognition, information search, alternatives evaluation, purchase decision, and post-purchase evaluation. These stages represent key aspects of the consumer decision-making process.
I also agree with their observation that consumers often consider alternatives, even if they have a preferred brand. Price changes or the availability of cheaper options can influence consumer behavior and lead them to explore different alternatives. This reflects the dynamic nature of consumer decision-making, where external factors can impact choices.
To support these points, I found a study conducted by Sproles and Kendall (1986) titled "A Methodology for Profiling Consumers' Decision-Making Styles" that emphasizes the significance of problem recognition, information search, and alternatives evaluation in the consumer behavior process. The study highlights how external factors such as changes in prices and product offerings can influence consumers' preferences and choices.
However, I would like to add that the classmate's post did not mention an important stage in the consumer behavior process, which is the pre-purchase evaluation or consideration set formation. Before deciding on a particular brand or alternative, consumers often narrow down their options to a smaller set of choices based on their preferences, brand awareness, and past experiences. This consideration set plays a crucial role in the purchase decision.
To support this point, I came across a research article by Chernev, Bockenholt, and Goodman (2015) titled "Choice Overload: A Conceptual Review and Meta-Analysis" that discusses the concept of choice overload in consumer decision-making. It emphasizes the importance of limiting the number of alternatives during the decision-making process to avoid cognitive overload and facilitate effective decision-making.

a. The value of x in the equilateral triangle is 27.
b. The value of x in the isosceles triangle is 27.
What is a triangle?A triangle is a three sided polygon.
How to find the value of x in the triangles?9. In the diagram, we see that the triangles is an equilateral triangle. This means that all its sides and angle are equal. So, we have that
7x + 19 = 11x - 89
7x - 11x = -89 - 19
-4x = -108
x = -108/-4
x = 27
So, the value of x is 27.
10. In the diagram, we see that the triangles is an isosceles triangle. This means that all its base angles are equal and its two of its sides are equal. So, we have that
11x - 65 + 29 + 29 = 180 (sum of angles in a triangle)
11x - 7 = 180
11x = 180 + 7
11x = 187
x = 187/11
x = 17

The table below shows the sample size, the mean, and the median for two samples of measurements. What is the median for the combined sample of 47 measurements?
To calculate the median for the combined sample of 47 measurements, we need to first find the total number of measurements and then determine the middle value of the combined set.
The table shows that we have two samples with different sample sizes. To combine the samples, we need to calculate the weighted mean. The weighted mean takes into account the sample sizes and is calculated by multiplying each sample mean by its corresponding sample size, adding them together, and dividing by the total sample size. Sample A has 25 measurements with a mean of 10 and a median of 9. Sample B has 22 measurements with a mean of 12 and a median of 14. To calculate the weighted mean for the combined sample, we can use the following formula: (weighted mean) = [(sample A mean x sample A size) + (sample B mean x sample B size)] / total sample size
Plugging in the values, we get: (weighted mean) = [(10 x 25) + (12 x 22)] / (25 + 22) (weighted mean) = (250 + 264) / 47
(weighted mean) = 514 / 47 (weighted mean) ≈ 10.94 Now, to find the median for the combined sample of 47 measurements, we need to order the measurements from smallest to largest and then determine the middle value. Since we don't have the actual measurements, we can't do this directly. However, we know that the median for each sample is the middle value when the measurements are ordered from smallest to largest.
Since the median is the middle value of the combined set, we can assume that half of the measurements in the combined set are less than the median and half are greater than the median. Therefore, the median for the combined sample must be somewhere between 9 and 14.
Using the formula, we get: (weighted median) = 9 + [(47/2 - 25) / 1] x 1(weighted median) = 9 + (11 / 1) (weighted median) ≈ 20
Therefore, the median for the combined sample of 47 measurements is approximately 20.

Qe. For the following arithmetic serles, find: a_(1),d,a_(n),n 1a.27,31,35,dots, 783,a_(1)= d= a_(n)= n^(2)
For the given arithmetic series, a_(1) = 27, d = 4, a_(n) = 783, n = 190, and n^(2) = 36100.
The given arithmetic series is 27, 31, 35,..., 783.
To find the first term, a_(1), we can simply look at the first term in the series. Therefore, a_(1) = 27.
To find the common difference, d, we can subtract the first term from the second term, or the second term from the third term. Therefore, d = 31 - 27 = 4.
To find the nth term, a_(n), we can use the formula a_(n) = a_(1) + (n - 1)d. We know that a_(1) = 27, d = 4, and a_(n) = 783, so we can plug these values into the formula and solve for n:
783 = 27 + (n - 1)(4)
756 = (n - 1)(4)
189 = n - 1
n = 190
Therefore, the nth term is 190.
To find the value of n^(2), we can simply square the value of n:
n^(2) = 190^(2) = 36100
Therefore, the value of n^(2) is 36100.

Step-by-step explanation:
We take our base equation, then we will make every mixed number into an improper fraction. This will give us 14/5v - 2/3(4v+ 7/6). Then we will open the parentheses. This gives us: 14/5v - 8/3v+ 14/18. We will bring both the v's to a common denominator, giving us 42/15v - 40/15v+ 14/18. Then we can subtract and simplify. 2/15v + 7/9.
