How do you think our society treats and values older members of society?
Answer: I think our society is treating our older members of society unfairly because, instead of being respected and consulted for their experience and knowledge, older people are frequently belittled, disrespected, patronized, and infantilized, if not ignored altogether. Common grace and manners are to treat our elders with dignity and respect. Sadly, instead of treating our elders with the appreciation and respect they deserve, many are often either too busy or simply dismiss them and their contributions to their community and family.

This is a run-on/comma splice because two independent clauses ("The truck driver backed his vehicle between two buildings" and "he did not have more than an inch to spare on either side") are joined by only a comma, without a coordinating conjunction or appropriate punctuation to separate them. Is greenhouse gas a fossil fuel?
Greenhouse gases are gases that trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere, leading to global warming and climate change.
Carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and a few other gases are examples of greenhouse gases.
Coal, fuel oil, and natural gas are the three primary hydrocarbons that makeup fossil fuels; they are created from the remains of long-dead plants and animals. Davis Stores sells clothing in 15 stores located around the southwestern United States. The managers at Davis are considering expanding by opening new stores and are interested in estimating costs in potential new locations. They believe that costs are driven in large part by store volume measured by revenue. The following data were collected from last year’s operations (revenues and costs in thousands of dollars).
Store Revenues Costs
101 $4,140 $4,274
102 2,267 2,974
103 5,798 5,241
104 4,062 4,098

113 3,592 2,676
114 4,977 4,735
115 2,324 3,046
Simple regression results from the data of Davis Stores are as follows.
Equation:
Store costs = $1,693. 5 + (Revenue × 52. 8%)
Statistical data
Correlation coefficient 0. 838
R2 0. 702
Required:
a. Estimate store costs for a store with revenue of $2. 9 million.
b. What percentage of the variation in store costs is explained by the independent variable?
From the linear regression function, it is found that:
a) The store costs for a store with revenue of $2.9 million is of $3,224,700.
b) 83.8% of variation in store costs is explained by the independent variable.
How to find the equation of linear regression? To find the regression equation, also called line of best fit or least squares regression equation, we need to insert the points (x,y) in the calculator. These points are given on a table or in a scatter plot in the problem.
From the linear regression, the correlation coefficient is also found, and explains the percentage of variation that is explained by the independent variable.
7
In the context of this problem, the store costs are given as a function of the revenue as follows:
Store costs = $1,693. 5 + 0.528(Revenue)
Above, we used the decimal equivalent of the percentage.
Hence, for a revenue of 2.9 million = 2900 thousand, the store costs are as follows:
Store costs = 1693.5 + 0.528(2900) = 3224.7 = $3,224,700.
Due to the correlation coefficient of 0.838, 83.8% of variation in store costs is explained by the independent variable.

On lung examination, he has whispered pectoriloquy on the right side with decreased breath sounds. He does not have any retractions or nasal flaring noted. His liver and spleen are not large. According to the excerpt, what was found upon lung examination on the right side
Answer:
In the lung on the right side it is possible to notice a "Whispered pectoriloquy."
Explanation:
The "Whispered pectoriloquy" presented by the patient's right lung is a sound that the doctor is able to hear, through the stethoscope, coming from inside the right lung. This sound is detected when the doctor asks the patient to speak words and random numbers in a whispered way, if the doctor can hear these whispers clearly through the stethoscope (which must be located on the patient's back) it means that the patient has a problem breathing that allows the accumulation of fluid in the lung. If the patient does not have fluid accumulation in the lung, the doctor will not be able to hear the whispers clearly.
In the case presented above, the doctor was able to hear the whispers which means that the patient has fluid in the right lung.
